Pe locul al doilea se afla Universitatea de Stat Novosibirsk, tot din Rusia, iar pe locul 3 este Universitatea Carolina din Cehia.
Universitatea din Bucuresti este universitatea romaneasca ce ocupa cel mai bun loc intre cele 7 institutii romanesti de invatamant superior prezente in clasament: locul 36. Ea este urmata de Universitatea Babes-Bolyai, cu locul 41. Pe ultimele locuri, in randul institutiilor romanesti analizate, sunt Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti care ocupa locul 103 si Universitatea din Craiova – locul 139, fiind primul an in care acestea apar in clasamentul international.
