Romania TV Press Release: Romania TV has not been and will not be a platform where Putinist ideas may be exposed, it does not share anti-democratic and destabilizing ideas, and much stricter criteria will be applied in the future to the selection of guests

Due to a serious and regrettable error, on 28 February, during the programme “The Highlight”, the leader of the protesters in Chisinau, Marina Tauber, was given the opportunity to express her point of view.

Although the approach of the presenter and the guests was contrary to the ideas put forward by Ms Tauber, the Romania TV editorial board believes that they must apologise to their viewers for the presence of such a guest in the station’s debates.

We assure the public that Romania TV has not been and will not be a platform where Putinist ideas may be exposed, it does not share anti-democratic and destabilizing ideas, and much stricter criteria will be applied in the future to the selection of guests as well as in terms of moderators’ tolerance towards certain guests and their ideas.

Romania TV is and will be, both in terms of its journalists and its editorial policy, strongly committed to the European and Euro-Atlantic values.
Expressing once again our regret for this incident, we assure all stakeholders that such situations will not be repeated.
