Premierul Edouard Philippe şi-a anulat programul pe care îl avea pentru sâmbătă seara şi a mers la sediul central al poliţiei pariziene, el declarându-se şocat de violenţa protestelor. El a condamnat şi condamnarea unui simbol sacru, cum este Arcul de Triumf, pe care protestatarii au scris: „Vestele galbene triumfă!”.

Avenue Kléber, Place Vendôme, Place de l’Opéra şi Rue de Rivoli sunt doar câteva dintre locurile unde protestatarii au incendiat maşini şi mobilier urban şi au ridicat baricade. De asemenea, se relatează că a fost devastat sediul unei bănci. Un bilanţ provizoriu indică 80 de răniţi şi 183 de persoane arestate.
